Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent with emphasis in related field (such as Motion , Graphics or Design)
• Strong knowledge of and personal connection to the high-tech industry
• Working knowledge and understanding of content management systems, web technologies, including HTML, Flash, etc…
• In-depth knowledge of user-centered design documentation systems such as wireframes comps and design specifications
• Excellent knowledge of graphics and user-centered design tools, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Flash.
• Must have top-notch samples and portfolio/URL demonstrating high-level of design skills.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with eBusiness, Marketing, and BU partners to conceptualize and execute designs that will advance user adoption rates for self-service features, retain members, increase revenue from online applications, and precisely communicate product features and benefits
• Design and produce web page templates including landing pages,email campaigns, banner ads, e-newletters and Flash banners/headers.
• Take a holistic approach to visual design across the site – develop, own, and evangelize the company's online brand
• Evangelize User Centered Design to create visuals that provide best in class user experiences, while clearly defining new product features and reinforcing the company's brand
• Gather project requirements and explore strategic design solutions that clearly fit business goals and user goals, while promoting the Blue Shield brand
• Rapidly develop visual concepts and “sell” them to clients (Product Managers and BU partners)
• Refresh/update existing designs, working within existing templates and conventions but also exploring new solutions
• Develop detailed design specifications, then work closely with the product, engineering and QA teams to support UI implementation efforts
• Participate in formal and informal design critiques, give effective feedback to peers
