IT Manager - Network and Batch Operations

Kforce Professional Staffing is currenlty hiring for an IT Manager with expertise in NOC and Batch Operations. This is a 6 month contract to hire in the Sacramento Area. Please contact Aileen at ashroyer@Kforce.com if you are qualified and interested.


The Manager of  NOC and Batch Operations is primarily responsible for overseeing and providing leadership and guidance to the team of NOC and Batch Operator teams (10-13 individuals). This individual will provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the teams. This person will leverage their operational knowledge of the company's IT best practices and process to create, evaluate, enhance and refine internal procedures, documentations and standards. As needed, the Manager may assist other managers with procedural challenges and be called upon to address escalated issues.


 
Job responsibilities:
  • Day to day management of the 24x7 NOC and Batch Operator teams; As a IT Manager. Have had 10-13 direct reports.
  • Responsible for scheduling of resources to provide excellent operational support and within budget.
  •  Responsible for day to day operations of the production batch schedule and escalation.
  •  Responsible for batch orchestration, day to day batch schedule changes, and execution & monitoring batch jobs in production to meet business needs.
  •  Responsible for maintaining and enhancing Network Operations Center (Windows, Unix and/or Mainframes)
  •  Identify gaps in knowledge and organize appropriate transfers of knowledge
  •  Previous experience development of processes and procedures.
  •  Research and resolve procedural issues and recommend appropriate interventions/modifications as needed.
  •  Establishes team/individual goals and action plans to support corporate objectives.
  •  Monitors and reports on team’s metrics and team/individual goals.
  •  Communicates and interprets changes in guidelines, policies, procedures and other related matters.
  •  Provides developmental and training opportunities for team members; oversees research activities and evaluates findings; Monitors on-going performance; Communicates expectations and results on a regular basis.
  •  Reviews annual operating budget and monitors costs to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  •  Serves as a resource and provides information as requested to internal and external sources on related operations. Coordinates with other internal departments to resolve problems or issues.
  •  Makes recommendations and proposals for leadership review.
  •  Prepares and submits reports and recommendations for management review.
  •  Tivoli monitoring tool is a plus.
